Founder of Himalayan Frontiers, Gopi Chand is enthusiasts of various adventure activities backgrounds. Since 1978 he engaged him self to assist and later to lead adventure and culture tours including trekking, mountain expeditions (for foreign, Indian army and to civilian), rescue operations while in mountain expeditions and during the trek, classical tours through out the country and to Bhutan.
Very first time Gopi Chand was infected by the virus called mountain climbing when he attempted to his first peak, Since than no look back till 1996, the year of the inception of Himalayan Frontiers.
He is often found on recce trip to open some of new and challenging trek or rare culture trips or to update the existing itineraries. In spite of his interest of discovery, he has capacity of sitting in office to materialise what he explored to propose to enthusiast travellers who have thirst of discover rare and exclusive sites.
Gopi shares his years of accumulated experience and passion of travel with his colleagues and the school groups by organising the adventure trek and camp in western Himalayan region of Manali.
Area he explored is part of Indian Himalaya and subcontinent, Nepal and Bhutan. His personal tours to Europe and to northern African countries was an eyes opening experience to him to understand better the expectation of external world..
