Goechela Trek ( Foot of Kangchendjunga
8586 m)
Land of the mountain crest, lies between
the kingdom of Bhutan in the east, Nepal to its west and
on its north border town the plateau of Tibet. After its
annexation by India in 1975, Sikkim became a restricted
area, requiring special entry permits and result has
retained its original Budhist charm. The smallest state
in India is the land of orchids and monasteries where
Kanchanjunga occupies a special status for the
Sikkimese as a sacred protecting deity where people are
hospitable, warm and friendly.
On arrival in Delhi , you will take flight to Bagdogra and will be transferred to Gangtok, the
capital of Sikkim , Explore the capital and Rumtek monastery the main seat of Karma pa further to Yuksum via visiting the Pemayangtse monastery is one of the oldest monastery in the state , Breathtaking view of lush terraced field and scattered villages of Nepalis and Bhutia communities .Aapart from agriculture production black cardomom grown here naturally in forest due to its tropical climate is the income resource of Sikkimeese.
Trek start from Yuksum , as per the record the first Chogyal of the kingdom of sikkim was consecrated here , Thick forest , easy and steady trail leads upward till view point and further to Goechela the nearest point to view the mighty Kangchendjunga the third highest mountain on earth.
On the clear day to watch the first ray of dawn on the summit excite the trekkers , As dark disappears and day begins at the same time slowly white marbled wall transformed in volcanic lava for short moment and continue changing the color for few minutes after having this magic spectacle , according to the local culture pay homage to the mighty Kangchendjunga and get back to the campsite where herders lives with their flocks of Yaks and sheeps .Steep descend to Yuksom ,Vehicle will take you to the Darjeeling , a important tourist destination in west Bengal , Also known in the world for its tea. estates.

1 : Arrival Delhi , Transfer to
hotel , day at leisure .
Day 2 : Delhi Gangtok via Bagdogra ,
Flight to Bagdogra and transfer to
Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim O/N hotel
Day 3 : Visit capital of Sikkim , O/N in
hotel.
Excursion tour to Rumtek Monastery.
Orchid Sanctuary, Afternoon explore town.
Day 4 : Gangtok to Pemayangtse (Pelling)
(2137 m) (124 km - 6h)
After breakfast drive to Pemayangtse,
night in hotel, day at leissure.
Day 5: Pemayangtse to Yuksom (1880 m) 53
km via Khechupelri lake.
Visit Pemayangtse monastery one of the
oldest in the state, Khechupelri Lake, is considered as
one of the sacred lakes of the state both by the Budhist
and Hindus. Evening arrive at Yuksum, night in camp or
lodge.
Afternoon visit Yoksum ,
Yuksum is set in loneliness amidst the
beautiful backdrop, According to the historical
records, the first Chogyal of the kingdom of Sikkim was
consecrated in 1641 A.D. by three lamas. Dubdi monastery
on hill top is established soon after the consecration
ceremony of the first Chogyal.
Day 6 : Yuksum to Tsokha (2900 m) 5h

First day of trek will take you through
dense verdant semi tropical forests occasionally crossed
by crystal clear rivulets and cascading waterfalls up to
priag chu. After one hour steady climb reach to Tsokha a
small Tibetan hamlet where first glimpse of the
mountains can be seen. night in tent.
Day 7 : Tsokha to Dzongri (3850 m) 6h

Up hill path paved with wooden logs and
stone slaves, avenue with fascinating Rhododendron.
Lunch stop at Phedang, further uphill to Dzongri which
commands a panoramic view of snow caped peaks, night in
tent.
Day 8 : Dzongri to La Mini (4050 m) 7h
trek 3
After breakfast short climb to the ridge
below Dzongri top than easy path leads through the
pasture land. Steep descend to the parachu and gradual
walk in the beautiful valley till Thangsing carpeted
meadow, After 0ne hours reached at shadow of mount
Panduim where shepherd and milk maid lives with their
flocks. Campsite O/N in camp.
Day 9: La Mini to Goechela (4950 m) 6h

Leave early morning at 4 a.m by torch
light, feel the silence of nature, gurgling of
meandering streams, moment of glacier and whistling of
wind. As day begins white mountains appears as a huge
marble wall in front (In clear weather), First ray of
dawn on the summit excite the trekkers and slowly white
marbled wall transformed in volcanic lava for short
moment, after having this magic spectacle get back to
the Campsite and further short trek to Thangsing.
Day 10 : Tangsing to Lampokhri (4150 m)

From today and for the next four days, we
are using a trail which is never used by most of the
tourists Folow the same trail for a while, later leave
the main routes goes up to Dzongari, And take another
route which is less frequent. Short climb to the
beautiful meadow, Magnificant view of surrounding
Himalaya. Afternoon walking along two lakes in a very
wild atmosphere. Camp.
Day 11 : Tshamri - Kasturi ridge (4500 m)
to Kasturi Odal (3600m) 6 7h

One of the hardest day of the trek :
starting with a steep climbing through a narrow path
till the Kasturi cliff trail, Scenic descend to reach
the Kasturi hut, in the middle of the forest, night in
trekkers'hut. Be careful, there is a lack of
water there.
Day 12 : Kasturi Odal to Lapdang (2200
m) 5 h

Long and steep descend to cross a forest
preserved for orchid, Reach to Lapdang, the first
village, we are meeting after leaving Tshoka. Camping.
Day 13 : Lapdang -Tashiding to
Darjeeling (1469m ) (115 km -7h)
Vehicle will reach in evening and after
early breakfast drive to Darjeeling, on the way visit
Tashiding monastery.
Day 14 : Visit Darjeeling .O/N in hotel .
One can View the early morning sunrise at
the tiger hill, After breakfast the popular Ghoom
monastery, Zoological park, Nehru Institute of
Mountaineering
Day 15 : Darjeeling to Bagdogra ,
Two hours drive to Bagdogra, flight to
Delhi, transfer to hotel, night in hotel.
Day 16 : Departure , sight seen in Delhi

By evening transfer to airport and flight
to onward destination
