Day 1:- Delhi
Arrive in Delhi. Transfer to the hotel. Combined sightseeing
of Old & New Delhi, visiting, Red Fort, Jama Masjid,
Shanti Van, Raj Ghat, Humayun Tomb, Qutab Minar and
pass through India Gate and the architectural buildings
of President House, and Parliament.
Day 2:-
Delhi-Jaipur
Drive 260 kms to Jaipur. Popularly known as the Pink
City because of the pink paint applied to the buildings
in its old walled city. In Rajpoot culture, pink was
tradionally a colour associated with hospitality.
Located at the edge of the great Indian Desert, Jaipur
is the gateway to Rajasthan. Overnight in Hotel Jaipur
Palace.
Day 3:- Jaipur
After breakfast, drive for an excursion to Amber Fort,
the once capital of the Jaipur State, where you go
up the Fort on an elephant back. Drive afterwards
back to Jaipur to visit the City Palace, Observatory
and bazaars.
Day 4:- Jaipur- Agra
Drive 230 kms to Agra the city of Taj Mahal. Enroute
visit the sand stone city of Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive
in Agra and check in to the hotel. Proceed for sightseeing,
visiting Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb and Taj Mahal built
by Shah Jehan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj
Mahal. It took 22 years and 20'000 people to build
Taj Mahal.
Day 5:- Agra- Jhansi- Khajuraho
Transfer to the railway station for Shatabdi train
to Jhansi. Drive 180 kms to Khajuraho and visit the
Khajuraho temples, aptly called the Land of Kamasutra.
Day 6:- Khajuraho- Varanasi
Morning visit to another part of the Khajuraho temple.
Afternoon flight to Varanasi, the holy city for Hindus.
Day 7:- Varanasi
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges and visit
to the temples. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath where
Lord Buddha preached his first sermon.
Day 8:-
Varanasi- Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for flight to Kathmandu.
Day 9:- Kathmandu
Swambhunath, Pashupatinath, Patan and Bhaktapur.
Day 10:- Kathmandu- Chitwan
Drive to Chitwan National Park spread over 932 sq
kms of dense forest dominated by towering sal trees.
More than 50 species are in the Park. Among the wildlife
animals that can be found here are one horned rhinos,
Royal Bengal tiger besides deers, wild boar and crocodiles.
Day 11:- Chitwan- Pokhra
Situated at an altitude of 827 m by Phewa Lake and
magnificent fish-trailed summit of Machhapuchhre rising
behind creates an ambience of peace and tranquillity.
Day 12:- Pokhra
Day free for relaxing.
Day 13:- Pokhra- Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 14:- Kathmandu- Departure
Transfer to the airport for onward departure.
